| Interests | WUFF (Women United in Faith and Feminism) is a student organization whose purpose is to address issues concerning women in various traditions of faith and spiritualities (those which promote the good characteristics-peace, love, justice, righteousness, etc.)Such issues include, but not limited to, violence against women, the interpretation of sacred text in relation to gender, sexuality, the use of gender-inclusive language, and non-traditional interpretations of a higher being (such as referring to god as the goddess, or GOD in the female sense), and the overall empowerment of women through faith and spirituality that defy patriarchal norms. The organization also promotes activism against injustices, violence, and a list of harmful ideologies that are utilized to suppress AND oppress the lives of women. |
