| Introduction | Born in Memphis Tennessee. Worked as a long distance operator at age 17-23 for Southern Belle/AT&T while attending Memphis State University. Met my husband in a community theatre production of "Anything Goes". That "backstage romance" has lasted for almost 40 years (celebrating our 37th anniversary in Sept.'07). Moved to Phoenix in 1972. We have a son,Ted 36, married with a 4 year old daughter, and a daughter, Mary, 32, married with a 12 year old daughter. Our 4 year old granddaughter speaks both Polish and English fluently. Our 12 year old granddaughter is a gifted student, one of the top players in her age group in AZ girls' soccer and musically talented. Music has always been an important part of my life. My husband travels a lot in his job and I have gone all over the world with him, London, Paris, Tokyo, for weeks at a time. All of our children and grandchildren live within 5-10 minutes of us. I make frequent trips to Memphis to see family. My mother (86 this month) and most of my family (brother, sister, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins) all live there. |

| Favorite movies | Just took my 12 year old granddaughter to see "Ratatouille" and "Hairspray". Enjoyed both a lot. I love well acted dramas, musicals, comedies, and documentaries. I do not like violent or horror films. |
| Favorite music | Love all good music, even some of my 12 year old granddaughter's current favorites. I was 7 years old when Elvis started (1956) getting popular(saw his first concert in Memphis in the Overton Park Shell),so love the old rock n'roll, "the Memphis Sound" (Stax records soul artists) Sam and Dave, Wilson Pickett, Booker T and the MGS, etc. Did theater and even opera for a while. For the past 15 years I've been concentrating on Jazz, working on and off as a band singer and manager. I love the Manhatten Transfer, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, Diana Krall, and Jane Monheit. My all time favorite tunes to sing, are bossa novas, esp. anything by Antonio Carlos Jobim. As a Christian, I also do gospel and contemporary Christian music. I have all my 60's LP collection (Beatles, Cream, Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane,etc.) as well as several hundred CD's. We have a good Jazz scene here,and I have a collection of albums signed by local artists, some of whom I've performed with and are friends. |
| Favorite books | I have a wide range of reading interests ranging from the Classics to Cookbooks. We have a large library in the house and one of us is always reading, either a book or online. |
