Introduction	I'm an East Coast Kid through and through but an ocean is ocean and no matter where I end up living, I'll be happy as long as I’m on a coast. I am even more thrilled to have mountains overlooking the sea, which I loved about living in Vancouver and visiting Lebanon. There are not too many places in the world where you can lay out on a beach and look up to snow. Adventures such as: comparing snorkeling off the coast of Maui to snorkeling in the Red Sea, off the coast of Jordan, all in one year; to looking at pictures that bring back faint memories (I was five when I was there) of exploring the Great Barrier Reef of Australia; to bobbing up and down like a cork in the Dead Sea near Amman, Jordan, to looking out on the other side of the Atlantic for a glimpse of Spain from the shores of Morocco, to surfing the waves of Laurencetown, right here in Nova Scotia, have reinforced my love for the sea again and again.
