| Introduction | I am 21(twice) and am double the age of the average intern in Washington, D.C. I am married to Charlie, a non-traditional student attending Butte College. Between us, we have three children; ages 14, 15, and 17. None of the kids are living with us at this time...although we would love for them all to come live in our home!! I will be graduating from CSU-Chico on May 24, 2008. This date is one day shy of 25 years from the date I graduated from high school. Yes, I am on the 25 year plan. I look forward to graduating and working as an advocate for people with disabilities. |
| Interests | Completing these silly questions online; obviously I do this just for you all to get to know the author a bit better. I am a crazy television watching freak. People wonder how I can keep my GPA and watch so much television. I study and watch TV - at the same time. I think I read one time, Bill Clinton would read and watch TV at the same time...hmmm...am I in good company or not? That is up to the reader to decide. I love to swim and my husband and I own a 21' McGregor sailboat(project) that we hope to sail one day soon. I grew up in Orlando, Florida and sailed the many lakes in the area. Sailing is a stress reducing sport and I certainly could use some stress reduction. Charlie and I enjoy dancing and frequent a club in Oroville to dance to live music. |
| Favorite movies | Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, The American President, Legally Blonde 2, 40 Year Old Virgin, Little Miss Sunshine, First Daughter, The Italian Job, Silence of the Lambs, 50 First Dates, E.T., The Sound of Music, My Fair Lady, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and of course the original Star Wars Trilogy - Star Wars in the movie theater - 9X and Return of the Jedi opened the night I graduated from high school and we made the juniors go wait in line for our tix. We went to see it, instead of the many drunken parties. Parties are forgettable, seeing Return of the Jedi opening night - is not! |
| Favorite music | My fav album: Jimmy Buffet, Songs you Know by Heart. Anything from: The Steve Miller Band, Lynard Skynard, The Doobie Brothers, CCR, Matchbox 20, Rob Thomas..mmmmmm...love that Rob Thomas. I like some of the new alternative rock and also hillbilly rock. I am also a sap for 1970's lovesongs and disco beats, but I love to dance, so you gotta give me that one. Recently, Charlie and I have been going out to see the Daniel Travers Band... www.danieltravers.com these guys are exceptionally talented musicians, Daniel - the leader singer has perfect pitch and a tremendous range and all the guitarists can shred...I can't believe their fingers can move so fast. The drummer is bad*** and can rock out. I hope you all will check out there website and tour dates and go out and DANCE! |
| Favorite books | I'll get back to you all on this one. I will tell you all that I am a sucker for children's books and I love to go to school and read aloud. My favorite is "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day." Also, "Go Dog Go" Dr. Seuss, this was my sons favorite and "Are You My Mother" was my daughters favorite. |
If you were a pirate, how would you avoid laughing when saying 'poop deck'?
I was a theater major when I started college, so I have been in many situations on stage in which others are laughing and I am stone faced...great practice for being a pirate and a congressional intern!!
