Introduction	Thanks for taking the time to read my blog, which has been created after much thought and with encouragement from friends. As an avid cook and a baker, my love for all things culinary comes from my mother who is also a great cook. I have a passion for collecting cookbooks - both old and new- and in addition to my overstocked bookshelves, I also have an ever growing file of recipe clippings, food essays and musings focused on all things in the kitchen. My two dogs, Scout & Mimi are my ever-present sous-chefs, eagerly hoping they'll be the lucky recipient of what is on the menu. They will most likely make into my blog from time to time.
