IntroductionLes and I have been happily married for seventeen years already!!! Time flies when you're having fun, and we certainly are! We both enjoy living in conservative Lancaster County, PA, with our five adopted children and one biological miracle surprise! I am interested in learning, reading, writing, cooking/baking and attaining skills to be more self-sufficient and a more responsible steward of what God has blessed us with. I enjoy the old-fashioned art of correspondence, as well as simple things like card-making, quilting and cross-stitching. Les is the full-time bread-winner here, and in whatever spare time he has available, he pursues hunting and fishing and plays chess to relax.

Favorite booksI love to read! I read just about anything, although I am not always a fan of science fiction or too much fantasy. I tend to like Christian books (fiction and non-fiction), biographies and the mystery genre. My favorites are The Bible, Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell, anything written by Linda Fairstein, Patricia Cornwall or James Patterson, Tale of Two Cities and most other novels by Charles Dickens, travel novels and other living books that I read with my children.

When you spilled the milk, did it look like the moon?

It glistened white upon the table, fluid and opal like the moon.
