Introduction	We are a group of local writers and artists who come from an eclectic variety of backgrounds, motivations and visions. The common ground that holds us together is the vision of being published. Ten years ago we started performance nights for local poets and writers providing an open microphone format when on the first Tuesday of the month became a time to stand before the podium and share our work. Our goal is to harbour these talents and print, record, film and exhibit them. As individuals we come from many different walks of life - many of us have a foundation in study and the education system. Our new Poetic Licence fundraisers involve a mix of writing, visual arts, music and food. This formula is proving to be extremely popular and is drawing impressive crowds. Our vision is to bring other writers to Mildura to run workshops and classes as an integral part in developing ourselves as writers. We see that there is a great need for this in the Mildura area and we hope to be able to make the most of the creative visions that we see, hear and experience every day.
