| Introduction | Dick was gifted his first camera - a Kodak Brownie- at age 9 and his love affair with photography was born. He had his first 35mm before age 15 and began a professional career in photography in 1976 at age 31. Ten years later, he burned out, walked away and wouldn't even pick up a camera for a snapshot. In 2002, digital photography was coming in and he bought his first digital camera and was reborn. In 2007, our brother-in law, also a professional, left the business and offered Dick one of his cameras. Since that time, Dick has taken several thousand shots and has no intention of ever stopping. Judy has shared the dream of travel with Dick since their first camping trip to Stephen F. Austin State Park near Sealy, TX in 1974.Dick had bought a tent and told Judy they were going camping for Mother's Day to see if she liked it. In the last 40 years, Dick and Judy traveled throughout the U.S. in tents and a small trailer and looked forward to full-timing in retirement. Judy shares Dick's love of the back-country outdoors and, with the exception of the request to be with the kids and grandkids for the holidays, is willing to go anywhere at anytime. |
