Introduction | I am 33 and happily married to my wife Kirsten of 3+ years (10+ from dating). I am a horticulture student with gardening and trades experience looking to pursue a career in public gardening. Kirsten is a senior editor with Nancy Glass Productions, producing shows for DIY Network, Animal Planet and others. We live in Conshohocken with our 3 cats. I am a passionate gardener with a strong interest in the hands-on and artistic aspects of gardening. I love not only the plants, but the built aspects including stone setting, carpentry, metal work, etcetera. I feel they add a sense of permanence and context, as well as opening more possibilities for diversity, functionality and artistic expression. I enjoy naturalistic, Japanese, and avant-garde/eclectic gardens. I started out being most in love with the subtleties of naturalistic gardens but am being drawn more and more these days to gardens with 'pop' and color. I am now looking to integrate more and more color and contrast into my work while retaining a sense of refinement. My goals are to continually develop my horticultural and trade skills allowing myself to continually grow as a gardener and to share that with others. |
