| Introduction | This blog about students as designers is an exploration of how to create these opportunities. Students who are excited about learning retain knowledge and apply it in their own lives. I will explore the ways to create lessons which allow students to design their own learning and hear what others in the blogoshpere have to say. Join me! I am an experienced educator and designer who incorporates technology that enhances learning, engages students, and extends learning from the classroom into the world. Having studied Political Science (BA), School Library Media (MS), and currently learning how to perfect designing curriculum for online learners and facilitate online classes (pursuing a M.Ed.), combine to increase my ability to find the right resources and implement them to aid in making a team or individual successful. With a desire to build healthy communities, my professional experiences as a Financial Aid Counselor, High School Registrar, and School Librarian, illustrate a passion to help others become the best individuals they can be. A multitude of volunteer experiences include: creating or improving community events and leading successful community-based service organizations. |
