Introduction	Thistledew is our ancient but reasonably trusty (and rusty) Transit campervan. Many years ago we decided that the outdoor life was what we wanted. We have always been country folk, living in various places including Shropshire, Cheshire, Lancashire and Anglesey, whilst trying to earn a living, and latterly retiring to the Scottish Borders and keeping bees. Never having surplus money, the simple things in life held a great attraction for us, retirement would not bring extra cash, but would bring extra time to explore. Or so we thought. In this blog I hope to share some of the great and possibly not so good times that we have experienced, mainly involving Thistledew, bees, Irene, my long suffering other half, our amazing 3 grand daughters and recently our handsome new grandson. Not forgetting our wonderful daughter and son in law, our son and his delightful wife and lastly, Meghan my Border Collie who is my constant shadow and treasured companion.
Interests	My family, my grandchildren, Bees, rural life, canals and waterways, cycling, travel in my campervan, my dog, quiet resistance, not necessarily in that order.
