| Introduction | I am a wife, and mother of a beautiful adopted daughter from China. As a child, I always knew I was going to be an artist and live on a farm with LOT’s of animals. While designing graphics and web sites, painting and jewelry design had always been passions I've never had time to indulge. Now, I want to create for the sheer enjoyment of the process. I've found that my graphics background still sneaks into my work, but at least now without the deadlines or having to please difficult clients. As a lifelong jewelry fanatic, it was a great joy to discover I could make my own jewelry! Using a hammer and torch I merge metals together, seeing how they can play off one another. The end result is often embellished with glass or semi-precious stones. I was amazed to discover that metalsmithing hasn’t changed over time. My jewelry is made the same way that people have made it since before the Egyptian’s reign. Using my hands and imagination I create unique, organic pieces with a contemporary flair. |
