Introduction	In 2008, I spent six weeks in Yemen working on an archaeological survey in the Yemeni highlands. It was during this time that I first became interested in agriculture and the process of growing food. Since returning home to the US, I have continued to engage in farm work in various urban and rural settings. For me, this site serves as a way to feed my interest in the agricultural heritage and development of Yemen. I hope it will serve as a forum for others to share and discuss currents topics concerning food security and agriculture in the country and encourage positive social action and debate.
