| Introduction | The objective of this blog is to look at what writers should be looking at when rewriting/editing. It seeks to educate burgeoning writers on how to recognize what can get better, what they've done well, what's well written, pacing, character depth, world-building and what's relevent vs what's expendable amongst other things. Writing is a process. Just as every story has a beginning, middle and end there are steps to completing a written work, of which writing a first draft is merely the first. Like any job (and yes for some writing is a job) just having ability or potential doesn't cut it. You've got to work hard and continue to to get better if you're going to reach the top. |
