| Introduction | I am a Latvian-American who grew up in Los Angeles. I have been married to Nancy 31 years; we have 4 grown children, Peter (married to Jenn), Scott (married to Crystal), Phillip (married to Jenna) and Karen (married to Clark). Pete and Jenn have a baby girl, Emma, Karen and Clark have a baby boy, Seth. We live & work in OR & Latvia. I have degrees in cultural anthropology & Biblical studies from Biola Univ and Dallas Seminary. I have also studied at Southwestern Seminary, Oregon State Univ, & Univ of Latvia. I am a follower of Jesus. I was a youth pastor for 10 years in CA, TX and OR; and pastor of 2 churches in OR for 11 years. I am President of Bridge Builders International (www.bridgebuildersint.com), an organization that focuses on Latvia, developing & bringing leaders together, building partnerships & connecting resources with needs. In Latvia we are “Partneri”; I serve as Director. I am Dean of Baltic Pastoral Institute in Riga which is training a new generation of missional pastors for Latvia.
