| Introduction | Colour pencils are my favourite. Looks and magic realism attract me. I enjoy the possibility of meditation this material offers as I work. I share Lin Yutang’s opinion that: “Art is simultaneously creation and re-creation”. Of these two, the one I prefer is the idea of art as re-creation or as pure game of the human spirit. Although I appreciate all forms of immortal creative work, be it in painting, in architecture or in literature, I think the true art spirit will spread and penetrate deeper into society only when a lot of people can enjoy art as pastime… with no desire to reach immortality! |
