| Introduction | I'm a mother and grandmother in my 50s. After an auto accident in 1987 (my triggering event), I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia before most doctors even considered it a "real" condition. I grew tired of taking traditional drugs. I worried about the long term damage to my liver from NSAIDs. I don't like the side-effects of opiates like vicodin. One side-effect of BP meds and antidepressants is reduced libido, which did not contribute to a happy marriage. Medical marijuana is legal in Colorado. A doctor has authorized my use of medicinal cannabis for chronic pain and pain-related depression. For over two years, I've used cannabis almost daily to control my symptoms. Cannabis gave me back my life. Here's my story. |
