About me

Introduction I have worked for the NHS for nearly 25 years. I started my career as a general nurse in a large city hospital. After a few years I left to train as a district nurse and on qualifying worked for over 10 years as a district nursing sister. During this period my 3 children were born. For a period of a year I then became a district nurse manager before moving to a commissioning organisation where I remained for 3 years working in Continuing Health Care. There then followed a period of nearly 4 years where I worked for a large private sector organisation, in audit and management consultancy. In 2007 I returned to the NHS where I hold my current role working in Service Improvement for the National Leadership & Innovation Agency for Healthcare.
