| Introduction | Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, Birgitte Tümmler lived in Brazil for many years, where she attended the School of Music and Fine Arts of Paraná. She was also a speleologist and was engaged in archaeological activities in the state of Paraná. As a nature artist and environmentalist, she portrays the fauna and flora, as well as aspects of indigenous and popular Brazilian culture, aiming to use art as a means of awareness, preservation, and enchantment of Earth's natural values. She employs various techniques, including tilework, acrylic, pen and ink, with a particular emphasis on ballpoint pen.Over the years, she has held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in collective exhibitions, most of them with nature conservancy themes.
