| Introduction | Probably be helpful to know that I was born in 1978 so you'll see where I fit in the pop culture spectrum of all this music. I was raised on folk and The Beatles. Things I realize now I repeat a lot: Slow saxes drive me insane/I really like good bass riffs/Just because I own something doesn't mean I like it or have ever heard it/I legitimately have trouble connecting any song to a title that is not a direct line from the chorus/a group of kids singing usually tugs on my heart a little too much/I am overly apologetic about bad Canadian music/I don't understand the concept of "instrumental B-sides"/If I use the term (I made up) "industrial synth rock" it's never positive. |
