Introduction | I have a great passion for teaching reading and incorporating technology. I have been teaching elementary students for the past five years and took this year off to get my masters in Elementary Education with a focus in reading. While working on my masters I am also working as a graduate assistant for the Center for Technology in Education. I train faculty and pre-service teachers at BSU how to incorporate technology into their teaching. From Interactive Whiteboards to iPads it is so important that we are using all of the tools available to engage kids in reading and writing. |
Interests | Some of the things that I enjoy doing in my free time are reading, playing tennis, working out, listening to music, traveling, learning about new technologies, and spending time with family. |
Favorite Books | A few of my Y.A. favs: The Giver, Bud, Not Buddy, Esperanza Rising, The Watson's Go to Birmingham, Where the Red Fern Grows, Because of Winn Dixie, Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, and The City of Ember |
