| Introduction | Nancy Ogden and Bruce Westerdahl were born in 1931, two hundred miles apart. Nancy began life on March 20th in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and Bruce was born in Newark, New Jersey on January 21st. In 1942, when his family moved to Gettysburg, Bruce enrolled in sixth grade where Nancy was also a student. When they were juniors as Gettysburg High School in 1948, Bruce and Nancy became a couple dating exclusively until May 30, 1953 when they stood before a congregation of friends and family and pledged their love for all time. Bruce and Nancy were so fortunate to have lived and loved in Gettysburg, and this is their story about growing up in that famous small town that so many people have visited and loved. |
