| Introduction | I started my love affair with the fiber arts at a very young age. My mom bought me some of those card board pictures you sew with a very large needle and huge holes for the little ones. I did the little woven potholders and my sweet mother was always into sewing. She made my clothes and did embroidery, and some crewel. When I joined the Campfire Girls in 3rd grade we embroidered a handkerchief. I was hooked! Through out high school I took art classes and further developed my designing ability. I guess with that being said I feel that children are our future and we need to teach them to use their creative minds. My art has been very helpful to me through out my life. It is the one thing I can get so involved in all my cares melt away. We need to teach them when they are young so that when they are stressed a creative outlet will help them through. |
