You've been invited to a fancy ball but the only thing you have to wear is an orange wooly jumper. What shoes do you wear?
None. Going barefoot will make the jumper seem less outlandish in comparison, and then i can introduce myself as some religious figurehead and people will be lining up to shake my hand instead of avoiding me.
