| Introduction | My current research is focused on the needs of establishing arts professionals and the transdisciplinary skills, knowledge and attributes needed to thrive in the rapidly changing and highly challenging work environment of the Arts. My academic career has included roles in learning and teaching development, curriculum management and programme leadership. I was a core member of the Centre for Excellence in Work Based Learning and managed the HEFCE Strategic Development Funded project in the School of Arts and Education. I was trained as a designer at Hornsey College of Art. My professional career has included work as a designer and craftsman in the jewellery and optics industries. I have run my own design and manufacturing company, as well working as a manager for a large wholesale and manufacturing jewellery company. I have had further experience in the games design industry that has included publication of a number of game products. |
