| Introduction | Saiful Razman was born in 1980 in Perak, Malaysia and studied at Universiti Technology MARA with BA in Fine Art in 2003. Since 2001 his work has been exhibited in local galleries and various exhibition in Indonesia, Singapore and Australia. He was featured in Valentine Willie Fine Art for 3 Young Contemporaries in 2004 and was selected for the artist-in-residence program at Rimbun Dahan, Malaysia in 2004-2005. His first solo show was held at The Annexe Gallery Kuala Lumpur entitled Pelan-Pelan & Bilik Gerakan in June 2008. He also does video works and installation for a group projects such as Angkasawanegara, a multi-discipline group working from short films, performance art and music. His punk rock band Gasoline Grenade now currently working on new material for their first album where he plays as a bassist and a lyricist. He was involved as a committee member of Notthatbalai, the annual fringe arts festival held at Lost Generation Space, Kuala Lumpur in 2004. Currently he lives and works in Kuala Lumpur and working on a new series of paintings for his second solo show at MAP Publika, Solaris Kuala Lumpur. |
