Introduction	I was raised in the fertile Willamette Valley by two back-to-the-landers who'd moved north from the Bay Area to realize their rural utopia dreams. I was home-schooled, hauled irrigation pipe naked, was raised vegetarian in hunting country, and wished I'd been named Jenny. All of this made me the farm and food loving person I am today.
