Where once stood Patriots, now we have “Patriotism,” the dull patina of convenient ideology whose hallmark bumper stickers accurately reflect the inherent commitment. Conformity, willful dependence and a cancerous mediocrity, color a landscape awash in consumerism, adorned in the politics of identity, and bereft of any real understanding of liberty.
