| Introduction | Currently I am a Brigham Young University student. I decided to serve a humanitarian/service mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon). I was asked to serve in Russia. Those two years changed my life to become a better person and see ways that I can reach out to humanity. I am currently a freshman and during the course of this semester I enrolled into English: Writing and Rhetoric. I was asked to write a personal blog about refugees to spread concern, information, and insight to those who have little knowledge and those who want to know more. So far, I have loved this project and I hope that many will be influenced by the words I will write. We have been asked to focus on the works of Sebastiao Salgado who spent a good portion of his life photographing such situations. I will be using his photos to help persuade you to see as well.
