| Introduction | Lori. East Coast Transplant. 28 years old and arguably in my quarter life crisis. This is a blog of my life on the west coast. I grew up in Westminster Maryland (small town America, suburbia hell) I moved to Portland almost two years ago for all of the wrong reasons but I have fallen in love with this city. I am a person who moves 3000 miles away from home spontaneously... I am an optimist in an embarrassing way. I truly believe we are here to enjoy our lives, so I try not to take life too seriously or get caught up in some of the things that so many people do. It overwhelms me sometimes to see what a ridiculous world we live in, how shallow and pointless it can all be in the grand scheme of things. I think that is why I like Portland so much, people have a very different attitude here and while I am a little home sick at times there are so many things here that make me feel right at home. This blog will be a space for my experiences, thoughts, and opinions as I try to find my place in this world. |
