| Introduction | I'm Kaitlyn, college junior, culture vulture, and amateur gourmet. I started this blog to prove to my friends and hopefully some others that cooking doesn't have to be complicated. It pains me to hear how many fellow college kids live on ramen and bad cafeteria food, and I'm here to say it doesn't have to be that way. Food can be one of the best aspects of life, and creating it is an ongoing adventure. Plus, it's really easy to get people to like you if you cook for them. I don't claim to have all the answers in the kitchen. I've learned everything I know by either watching my mother (the real master chef) or by trial and mostly error. The recipes I post here are my very favorites. Many are things I grew up eating, others will have a European, mostly German flare (hence the Zucker.) I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. My other passion in life is foreign language, culture, and travel. Although I'm starting this as a food blog, it won't always be limited to that. Next year, I'll be studying abroad in Germany and will share my experiences there on this same page. So stay tuned for the many adventures to come, and in the meantime, eat! |
