| Introduction | I've been obsessed with Africa since I was a child, but I always had a story about why I couldn't go - it was too far, too scary, too expensive, too long away from work and I just didn't know how to do it. But, I went as a volunteer for predator and elephant research projects for 3 weeks in 2008, and all of that changed. I'm wrapping up a long career in healthcare management and am heading to South Africa now for the 10th time. I'd like to share that experience with you. And maybe convince you that if you are like me, and always wanted to go to the African bush, do it. Just make it happen. It will change your life. |
