| Introduction | The purpose of the Santa Fe Springs Basin Working Group (SFSWG) is to create a forum in which professionals, government agencies, and the public can learn about and discuss issues and activities that can affect the quality and quantity of water in Poe, Ginnie, Hornsby and Gilchrist Blue Springs and their contributing areas in Alachua and Gilchrist Counties. Working Group meetings are held at least four times per year, and are open to the public. At each meeting, the participants report on activities that are underway relevant to springs in the lower Santa Fe River. Action teams are formed to accomplish short-term projects.
