About me

Introduction	Dr Muriel Newman is the administrator of Breaking Views - the blog of the New Zealand Centre for Political Research. She is the founder and Director of the NZCPR, a public policy think tank established in 2005. Muriel was a Member of Parliament for nine years, and has a background in business - Assistant General Manager for Michael Hill Jeweller and former President of the Chamber of Commerce - and education. She was a government appointee on a number of local boards, and presently serves as a director of a childrens' trust.
