About me

Location Cincinnati, Ohio, United States
Introduction Born and raised in the New York City area, I grew up going to the wonderful museums and galleries of the city. Some of my happiest days were spent alone in the Metropolitan Museum, surrounded by the world's greatest art. I moved to Buffalo NY in 1977, when my partner, Don Vroon, was hired by a classical radio station there. I was painting mostly photorealist oils at that time, and got several commissions, including one to create a large (15' x 45') wall piece for Buffalo's new subway system. We moved to Cincinnati Ohio in 1985, bought American Record Guide, a classical music review magazine in 1987, which we still publish. I am a signature member of the Cincinnati Art Club, a master pastellist with the Mid-America Pastel Society, on the board of the Ohio Plein Air Society, and a member of Pastel Society of America and Indiana Plein Air Painters Association.
