Introduction | Celia Calle's art aesthetic is strangely alluring and undeniably powerful. Her awesome images are ominous, commanding, sometimes warped, but always spiced with a generous injection of humor, in keeping with the artist's effervescent personality.
The New York Parsons School of Design graduate, originally intended to pursue a career in costume and accessory design, but she was continuously drawn to fine art and illustration. Having commissioned to illustrate murals for Jean-Paul Gaultier, working with designers Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, editorial work in ESPN Sports Magazine; Ad campaigns with Adidas, Nike, Coors, and Gap. Other recent works include Cover Art for DC Comics “American Virgin (Issues 15-23)”, Virgin Comics "John Woo's 7 Brothers", Dave Stewart's "Walk-In", Marvel Comics "Mekanix", and latest editorial for Penthouse Magazine.
