Introduction	Just a quick introduction to Erin Petz, an herbalist student in southern Illinois. Many of my interests are rooted in living sustainably, cooperatively, and developing DIY (do it yourself) skills; especially in the kitchen and outdoors. This blog is a place to share ideas, recipes, and ponder current events. My interest in herbalism developed from a gnawing void I felt when I realized I didn’t know how to take care of myself with everyday imbalances that happen, and also the frustration of growing up in a culture that does not readily teach about its native plants. When walking in the woods, I want to know what is living around me, and how our ancestors have used these plants. The information on this blog is not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any disease/illness.
