Introduction	My name is Alexis Trice and I am a full time painter. I graduated from The School of Visual Arts with a BFA in Illustration in 2004. I have been painting with oils for many years, and animals have always been my subject of choice. I began my company WelcomeToTheDoghouse.net creating custom pet portraits after I discovered my combined love for dogs (my inspirational muses, Una and Thea) and art could be a rewarding career. I am a born and raised New Yorker, and my studio (aka 'The Doghouse') where I spend most of my time painting is in Bushwick, Brooklyn. I have been featured in online and print publications such as Dog Fancy Magazine, The NY Daily News, Pampered Puppy, Pedigree.com, City Rag, L Magazine, Fortune Magazine, AOL's Paw Nation, Jagazine Magazine, Animal Planet's Dogs 101, and Wag Magazine. I have had my work exhibited at P.P.O.W Gallery, Niagara Gallery, Ellipses Group show, and currently have pieces on and international tour with Fuse Gallery.
