About me

Location Milan, Ohio, United States
Introduction The first meeting was held in July 2003 and was established as a result of friendships that were formed while taking beginning quilting classes at a local quilt shop. The new friends had enthusiasm for quilting and wanted to share that enthusiasm with others by forming a Guild with the express purpose being to "encourage the art of quilting by: sharing ideas with others; providing education and instruction for members; creating an environment for fellowship around quilts; and utilizing our collective skills to serve our community through charity service projects." Since then, the Guild has continued to grow in membership, has hosted an annual Quilt Retreat, donated lap quilts to the residents of Briarfield in Milan, hosted educational & inspirational speakers, made and raffled quilts annually in order to support our quilt donation projects and has provided a venue for people with a passion for quilting to gather and share ideas. Guild Meetings are held on the 2nd Saturday of the month at 10am at the Milan Town Hall Community Room. Everyone is welcome!
