| Introduction | I have been fascinated with pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and babies for as long as I can remember. After having an amazing hospital birth with our second son after a traumatic home birth with our first son, I knew my calling was to assist women delivering in the hospital. I view childbirth as a natural process that is an intimate and empowering journey for the mother and all involved. My goal is to help the mother have the best birth experience she can with the set of variables she knows and the set of variables she does not know. I love to educate mothers about the childbirth experience and to help them in their breastfeeding journey. I am a 30-something homemaker in NWA with two boys which we homeschool. My husband works for a big company doing computer work. I am a CAPPA Certified Childbirth Educator, Certified Childbirth Teen Educator, Certified Labor Doula, and trained Lactation Educator serving NWA. I am pursuing my certification as a Lactation Educator. My 10-year goal is to become a International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. |
