| Introduction | Once I existed in big-city newsrooms, with my identity wrapped around being a journalist. Today, I am a reinvented human and I live on the edge of a coastal dune forest, often under the milkwood tree. Here, I ride the work-life see-saw and explore ways to live sustainably. Sometimes, this means venturing away to discover places and people choosing to live lightly in their own ways. Then I come back and settle beneath the milkwood's twisting branches to ponder.
