Industry | Museums or Libraries |
Occupation | Library Student |
Location | Houston, Texas, United States |
Introduction | I am working on my master's degree in library science at the University of North Texas. I say "at" even though I never go to Denton since all the classes are online. I am a former high school English teacher in Houston, Texas. (Forgive me for any mistakes you might see here. I am human.) I returned from living and teaching high school English in Okinawa at the end of July 2009 as a part of the Japan Exchange Teaching Program. My true occupation, however, is writing--or at least thinking through stories to the point where they deserve to be on paper. |
Interests | Reading, writing, watching movies (especially zombie movies), anime, manga, re-learning Spanish after spending so much time learning Japanese, and my grad school studies. |
Favorite Movies | Pan's Labyrinth, Mansfield Park, RE movies, Wes Anderson movies, Fight Club, 300, Howl's Moving Castle, Requiem for a Dream, Ghost in the Shell, Trainspotting, Juno |
Favorite Music | Dub Step, Drum and Bass, Trance music in general, Radiohead, Muse, Delerium. |
Favorite Books | A Moveable Feast, Dubliners, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Harry Potter books, Neuromancer, Bleach (manga), Sandman (American comic), The Book Thief, Twilight series, Wuthering Heights, The Host |
Your people want to make a statue in your honor. What will it be made out of and what victory will it commemorate?
My statue would be made our of sugar and birdseed. It would commemorate my victory over the blank page and would be rebuilt after every rainstorm had eaten it away (unless the birds and squirrels beat the rain to eating it away).
