| Introduction | I am married to the former Norma Thompson of Macon, Ga. There are two children by this marriage: Catherine Ruth Tweeddale Tate and John Wesley Tweeddale. There are two children by a former marriage. These are James W. Tweeddale Jr., and Karen Ann Tweeddale Harvey. More about my progeny will come later. On a personal level; I am convinced that there is a direct functional relationship between contentment in God and the incidence of joy in a person’s life. My greatest accomplishment resides in my marriage to Norma and my family. Through the ebb and flow of family life we have grown personally and genealogically. To be known as “dad, daddy and grandpa” gives life context. My greatest challenge involves adding the value of Christ to every personal and social endeavor. I am a retired Navy civilian (SES) with a PhD in management. My greatest satisfaction is to see those closest to me discover the joy of affections centered in Christ. I am a cancer survivor. I love the company of Godly people and am saddened by the movement of the contemporary church toward an entertainment milieu. I despise legalism (and “works” centeredness) in religion. These have deadly personal consequences. |
