Introduction	I grew up in a small feelgood Midwestern town eating green bean casserole at holidays, going to county fairs, and trusting everyone. Now I've plopped myself down in fast pushy modern Chinese cities eating various duck parts and doing my best to bargain. This blog was begun upon moving to Beijing. The the Dalian / Midwest posts were previously written for family and friends and have since been posted and approximately backdated for a coherent story.
