| Introduction | Washington DC was a short bus ride from the small town I grew up in. So perhaps interest in govenment was in the air. In college, I studied government. Courses encouraged active citizenship. So during the many years I have lived in a small MA town, I have been active, always voting, attending town meetings, volunteering, serving on town committees, and even running for elective office. Though I have been on SS for many years, I'm now on a second career as Irish historian and author of a book on Irish history, "Dwelling Place of Dragons." |
