| Introduction | I am 28 years old, married with 2 children, a boy, 4 years old and a girl, almost 2. I am so blessed to have these very special, beautiful and intelligent children. My son, while yet to be diagnosed, shows many of the key signs of Asperger's Syndrome. I am very passionate (my husband says obsessive=P)when it comes to the things that are important to me. Recently, I have been trying to raise awareness for child abuse, ovarian cancer and asperger's/autism. I have been very focused on the issue of child abuse. My goal for this blog is to give moms some support without the fear of judgment. Every mother has at some time felt inadequate, out of control or overwhelmed. These things are not talked about in the mommy circles for fear of being a "bad mommy" or being criticized. Sometimes, moms just need a sounding board, someone to talk to who will let you know that it is OKAY to feel these things sometimes or to know someone else has been there too. |
