| Introduction | I discovered scrapbooking and paper piecing in 2002 after retiring from my day job (nursing) and finding myself at home with more free time on my hands. Soon after that, I started making handmade cards. I have always had a special place in my heart for dogs, and my late husband and I were the happy adopters of several ex-racing greyhounds over a period of 20+ years. I lost my last greyhound to illness a couple of years after my husband passed away. And now, my life partner, Russ and I have another two dogs (also adopted): an elderly and very clever Border Collie, Buddy. . . . and a young and also very smart German Shepherd mix, Bailey. I get the inspiration for my cards and paper crafting/art from a variety of sources, including beautiful scrapbook papers and embellishments, songs, movies, quotes, poems and sayings, life events, nature, my partner, my friends, and our dogs. I love the sense of creativity and satisfaction that I get from making cards and various paper crafts. AND I love that other people find enjoyment from my paper creations! |
