Introduction Born & and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, I have lived all across Canada but in 1998, found my true home as an artist in Canada’s Far North, the Yukon. I live on the Magundy River, four hours northeast of Whitehorse on the Robert Campbell Highway. Living off-grid is a way of life that affords me peace, simplicity and solitude – all an integral part of my creativity. The light, wind, movement & colour of the natural world, the seasons, the wilderness.... all stimulate my creativity and imagination. I spend my time creating original and unique paintings with watercolour, acrylic, and mixed medias. I am a member of Yukon Artists At Work in Whitehorse, Arts Underground, North End Gallery, and Anvil Range Art Society in Faro. Putting colour to paper and dreaming of being an artist began at the tender age of five. Although mostly self-taught, I have studied with some prominent watercolorists and this was my focus for many years. In 2004, I was inspired to use other media, namely acrylic and it has provided new inspiration and freedom in the continuing development of my art. I look forward to this daily journey of self-discovery and enjoy sharing my joy of art with others.
