Introduction | I am a composer, orchestrator, instrumentalist and advocate for composer rights, and the president of the International Alliance of Composers I have been performing and composing for 25 years, dual major at Berklee College of Music in performance and Jazz composition, where I won the Quincy Jones award. From 1995-98 I self taught myself web development and coding techniques and was hired in 1998 as a pre-ipo web developer at InfoSpace in Seattle where I coded middle tier and front tier code for applications with 10million+ page views per day for websites like MSN.com, AOL.com, the Wall Street Journal online, and hundreds of similar clients. I also headed up and developed several technologies with partners RealNetworks and Macromedia creating innovative uses of these early technologies. Since 2003 I have left coding commercially to get back to music composition and technology, and to build the International Alliance of Composers, a non-profit organization focused on composer networking and composer rights activism. I still build non-commercial applications in C#/ASP.NET/MS SQL |
Interests | composing, performing and arranging music (saxophones, clarinets, flutes, keyboards, guitar, duduk, Ewe and Dagomba drumming), coding (C#, asp.net, MS SQL) |
