Introduction	I'm California born and raised and enjoy life with my wonderful husband of many years here in the East Bay. I decided to start a blog to keep track of all the things we do as well as other random items of interest. "Like a tree in the desert" was how my beloved grandfather used to describe a great aunt of mine who was rather eccentric. Using that as the title seemed a great way to pay homage to them both. Enjoy!
